I'm trying to get us further away from our own edge.

Verde, I bet some of us could make a living running soup kitchens when things get bad. All the restaurants will be too crappy to stay in business, and some folks will starve if they have no place to go. I envision a place where you can get a big bowl of soup, a hunk of bread, and a glass of milk. Sit on a bench and eat up, for a few dollars. I have the perfect place picked out, around the corner from me. It's a tiny 10' wide sandwich shop that has trouble keeping a tenant. Has a pizza oven I could bake bread in. See how my mind wanders these days?Matriarchyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11626790347402266263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8573115152567675253.post-25432098219172923492008-10-24T16:22:00.000-04:002008-10-24T16:22:00.000-04:00>A lot of people are a lot closer to the edge t...>A lot of people are a lot closer to the edge than they realize.

Sooo true!

Almost any job at all is better than no job -- a friend of mine was laid off and she's now 19 months into her job search.
