My kids would be rolling their eyes too (although ya know they do listen to me quite a lot), but I totally get what you mean about your kids warning the other kids.

That's a great story. I hope you don't have to deal with the stink too bad.

LisaLisa Zahnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17491596171533559615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8573115152567675253.post-42061873272376210222008-07-21T13:18:00.000-04:002008-07-21T13:18:00.000-04:00I wish the story ended with a way to simply bury t...I wish the story ended with a way to simply bury the poor girl. In any other suburban or rural yard, I could just dig a hole and be done with it. My city yard is too small, and the soil too shallow, for me to dig a good hole. I hit clay in less than 12" in many places, and the alley dirt is only 3-4" inches deep.

If I have to do it again, I think I will have the kids help me take a shovel up into the woods and dig a hole.Matriarchyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11626790347402266263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8573115152567675253.post-31745598189153974032008-07-21T12:37:00.000-04:002008-07-21T12:37:00.000-04:00Very deftly handled, I'd say! As a biologist, the circle of life absolutely fascinates me, but it is rare I get an audience to my own wierdness (LOL!!!)

I bet the poor thing did smell in the heat wave we are experiencing (I'm in IN and it is the same here).Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10788740577135090145noreply@blogger.com
